Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 July 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Bidari for using the app. We have tried to write them plainly. By creating an account or using Bidari, you agree to what follows.

What Bidari is, and is not

Bidari helps you set down your thoughts at night and wake to a calm, ordered start to your day. It is a tool for reflection and gentle organisation, and nothing more.

Bidari is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical, psychological, or professional advice. It is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. If you are struggling with your mental health, or you are in crisis or an emergency, please contact a doctor, a local crisis line, or emergency services. Bidari is not for emergencies.

Your account

You can use Bidari without an account, in which case everything stays on your device. If you create one, you must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age in your country, and you agree to give accurate information and to keep your login details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it.

Using Bidari

Please use Bidari for your own personal reflection. Do not misuse it: that means not trying to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain improper access to the app or its servers, not using it to break the law, and not using it to harm others. We may limit or pause access that puts the service or other people at risk.

Your content

What you write and record in Bidari is yours. You keep all rights to it. You give us only the narrow permission needed to run the service for you: to store your entries if you have an account, and to process them so we can create your morning, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not claim ownership of your thoughts, and we do not use them to train models or to build a profile of you. You are responsible for the content you put into Bidari.

Subscriptions, trials, and billing

Bidari offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription. Subscriptions, including any free trial, are sold and billed through the app store you installed from (Apple App Store or Google Play) under their terms, not directly by us.

Privacy

How we handle your data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. In short: we collect little, we do not sell your data, and you can ask us to export or delete it at any time.

Our app and brand

The Bidari app, its name, look, and content that we create are ours and are protected by law. Using Bidari does not give you the right to copy, resell, or reuse those parts. This does not affect your ownership of your own entries.

Disclaimers

We work hard to make Bidari calm and reliable, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". We do not promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and the morning it prepares is a helpful suggestion, not a guarantee. You use your own judgement about what to act on.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Bidari is not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law, including your consumer rights.

Ending your use

You can stop using Bidari and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, or if we have to for legal or security reasons. If we end the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice where we can.

Changes

We may update these terms as Bidari grows or as the law requires. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continuing to use Bidari after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the country where Bidari is established, and disputes will be handled by the courts there, without affecting mandatory protections in your own country of residence. We will name that jurisdiction here before public launch.

Questions about these terms? Write to bidariapp@gmail.com and a person will read it.

These terms are written to be honest and readable rather than exhaustive. Before launch they should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer, and the governing-law and company-name details finalised, alongside the same review for the Privacy Policy.
